The site is also a central source for research and data, contact information, and free materials.

The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids is a leader in the fight to reduce tobacco use and its devastating consequences in the U.S. and around the world. By changing public attitudes and public policies on tobacco, they strive to prevent kids from smoking, help smokers quit and protect everyone from secondhand smoke.

Freevibe.com was created for the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign, a program of the Office of National Drug Control Policy. Freevibe’s goal is to provide teens with the knowledge and personal empowerment to reject drug use and other risky behaviors.

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) created this Web site to educate adolescents ages 11 through 15 (as well as their parents and teachers) on the science behind drug abuse. The site delivers science-based facts about how drugs affect the brain and body so that kids will be armed with better informations to make healthy decisions. Elements such as animated illustrations, quizzes, and games are used throughout the site to clarify concepts, test the visitor’s knowledge, and make learning fun through interaction.

Young people are exposed to alcohol marketing messages on a daily basis in everything from TV commercials to branded clothing, ads in magazines, Web sites and sponsorship at sporting and music events. A quiz on this site helps youth understand how these marketing messages can influence the attitudes toward drinking.
